久違了. 下列將介紹 chitex. 包含:

O. 前言:
chiTeX 是中文化的 TeX/LaTeX, 可編譯含 Big5碼, GB碼 與 Utf8碼 的 LaTeX
與 plain TeX 的中文文件. 可用於 unix 與 Windows 系統.
chitex Windows 版 可使用於 Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista
(配合 Miktex 2.7)
chitex Unix 版 可使用於 Linux 及 FreeBSD
(已經在 Fedora 9, Fedora 10, Debian 4.0, Ubuntu 8.04
及 FreeBSD 7.1 上測試過)
A. chitex 簡介
chitex 在 unix 與 Windows 上的命令或視窗上的功能皆能自動編譯
plain TeX 與 LaTeX 文件.
chiTeX 的特色:
使用很容易, 會用英文 TeX/LaTeX 就可立即使用 chiTeX.
功能多樣, 可編譯含 Big5 與 GB 碼的文件, 也可用 Omega/Lambda
編譯及編譯 Utf-8 文件, 也可方便用 dvipdfm, pdftex, ps2pdf 等
產生 pdf 檔 (用dvipdfm, pdftex 編譯所得的 pdf文件文字可以 search)
Window 版 chiTeX 可編譯含異體字文件, unix 版若要編譯含異體字
文件, 可將文件存為 Utf-8 內碼, 再用 utf8 選項的編譯.
在 Windows 與 unix系統上:
(1) 在 Windows 與 unix系統上:
在 Windows 系統上, chiTeX 是一功能多樣而 powerful 的視窗介面的
軟體, 內含之 editor 具有 gui 介面可易於輸入 TeX/LaTeX 指令與符號指令,
也有方便的快速鍵.
(2) 在 unix系統上:
在 unix 系統上配合 tetex 或 texlive. tetex 及 texlive 要另外事先安
裝後再安裝 chiTeX. (chiTeX 配合 texlive 已在 Fedora 9 上測試過)
在 unix 系統上 可安裝 kile (latex editor) 與 lyx 配合 chiTeX 使用.
(安裝有 chiTeX及 kile後, 需先下指令: chitex -kile 或 chitex -lyx 以做配合 chitex
之設定)
使用 chitex 指令可易於編譯預視, 例如:
下指令
chitex -xdvi math2 (編譯+xdvi預視 math2.tex)
下指令 chitex 就有 help
B. Download chitex:
chitex 新版放在下列網站：
1. Windows 版:
(1) ftp.math.ncu.edu.tw/chitex/Win2000-XP-Vista
(It contains the latest version of chitex)
(2) www.ctan.org/tex-archive/systems/chitex/Windows
2. unix 版:
(1) ftp.math.ncu.edu.tw/chitex/unix
(It contains the latest version of chitex)
(2) www.ctan.org/tex-archive/systems/chitex/Unix
(* If your system is Fedora 10, you should download chitex
package from:
ftp://ftp.math.ncu.edu.tw/chitex/unix/6.1.2p15a29 )
C. Install chitex:
1. Install chitex for Windows:
(1) Goto:
ftp://ftp.math.ncu.edu.tw/chitex/Win2000-XP-Vista or,
to get the whole subdirectory:
ps635Mk27a58
And in this directory, click “setup.exe” (or “setup”)
Then it will start to install. chitex.
or
(2) Goto:
http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/systems/chitex/Windows
to get
ps635Mk27a57.iso
and burn it into a CD or mount it as a virtual disk. Then there is a
directory ps635Mk27a57 in it. In this directory click:
setup(.exe)
to install chitex.
(Important: ps635Mk27a57.iso does not contain miktex.
Before install chitex, you should download and install Miktex2.7
Install Miktex2.7:
Goto:
ftp.math.ncu.edu.tw/chitex/Win2000-XP/Vista/iso/ps635Mk27a67_Twofiles
to get file "miktex27.iso" to install Miktex2.7.

After completing the installton, you could click an icon labeled
"chitex" on the desktop to launch chitex.
2. Install chitex for Unix:
(1) Goto:
ftp://ftp.math.ncu.edu.tw/chitex/unix
in it, get the whole subdirectory
6.1.2p15a29
And in this directory, give command:
chmod +x setup
and then Run: ./setup
Then it will start to install.
Or
(2) Goto
http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/systems/chitex/Unix
to get
6.1.2p15a28.iso
and burn it into a CD or mount it as a virtual disk. Then there is a
directory 6.1.2p15a28 in it. In this directory click:
Run: ./setup
to install chitex.
After completing the installton, you could give command:
chitex
to see the usage of chitex.
* If your system is Fedora 10, you should download chitex
package from:
ftp://ftp.math.ncu.edu.tw/chitex/unix/6.1.2p15a29
